Recycling
As an international logistics company, GOfers Logistics Worldwide is very aware of the recycling potential of the large quantity of material it transports each year. GOfers now offers its clients a recycling service and is pleased to contribute, as part of our corporate ethos, to the protection of the environment by conserving resources and energy. Our service supports the British Government policy that has set stringent targets for recycling beyond the current UK levels of recycling that is estimated to save more than 18 million tonnes of C02 a year – the equivalent to taking 5 million cars off the road.
Computer Equipment Recycling
In 2008, GOfers started its recycling initiative by providing a complete logistic service to companies for recycling redundant computer equipment. The UN’s Environment Programme encourages the correct disposal of electronic components and, as part of that programme, GOfers collects, consolidates and dispatches computer hardware including servers, monitors, hard drives and circuit boards. GOfers complies with all waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and other relevant regulations.
Hazardous Waste Disposal
GOfers has now expanded its operations to include the collection, processing and onward dispatch of waste batteries to re-manufacturing facilities. We have the necessary waste processing licences to carry out this activity at GOfers Warehousing and, if required, at other remote locations. All GOfers carriers have the appropriate Waste Carriers Licences.
